Successe. Everything turned out great for a first attempt at organizing and cooking a Thanksgiving Dinner. The turkey was nice and golden along with still being juicy and tender. The pumkin pie, sweet potatoes and rolls all turned out great leaving everyone extremely full when the pie and egg nog punch were served. In all it was a great practise run for tomorrow's even bigger dinner. We had and 11 lb turkey and 9 people yesterday. Tomorrow I'm looking at squezing 16 people around 2 tables, me(a 16 lb turkey, sweet potatoes, spinach), Sheena and Thomas(salad), James (beats, corn, mashed potatoes), Nia (Linconshire Pudding) and these home made bread roles by Chris. I'm making develed eggs for appetizers and James is coming with crackers, cheese, salami, and olives for appetizers. Desert includes the folowing:
Me Grandma's jello cream cheese cake and her chocolate chocalate chip cream cheese cup cakes
Chris 2 pumkin pies and possibly something else
James brownies
Nia cake and possibly rice crispy treats
We're starting around 1pm tomorrow and I think we'll still be eating around 6 with the menu we have planned. I have to start baking stuff for tomorrow. I'll let you know how it turns out later.
