I just got back from the doctor; the blood analysis confirms that I could have Gout, a form of arthritus, in my big toe. Based on when I first noticed it, I imagine it was from slightly more drinking then usual in Brussels, though I really didn't drink that much. The odd thing is Gout usually last about a week or so then goes away for a while. I've had it for 5 weeks now. Earlier in the week I read about Gout based on a suggestion from someone else. The symtums matched, and I haven't been eating read meat, beans, or drinking alcohol at all this week, though I haven't been consuming much of any of them anyways. There is a possibility that it is some other type of infectioin, but it all comes down to not being able to bend my big toe without pain. Hopefully the shot of medication, that I recieved today, will get rid of the problem; with a diet alteration as well, I should have no futher problems.
For anyone looking for something interesting to read, I recommend "Eats, Shoots and Leaves" by Lynne Truss. The book consists of the author's dislike for misused punctuation, how it is misused, and the proper uses. I found her style humorous at moments, and relatively informativ on the correct grammatical uses of the different types of punctuation.
