I've been meaning to blog forever now, and am glad to finally make some time for it. Over the past few weeks I've had so many moments that make me think of Germany, and long to be back there with my Euro friends. The other day I almost shouted out Sheena's name to this girl at the bus stop. I swear it was her double. The long wavie hair in a pony tail, the jean jacket, jeans that go to the ground with high soled gym shoes. I coincidentely ran into her the following day as well, and still had to take a double look. Some of my experience with trying to meet and talk to people in the bars on campus have made me wonder why it was so much easier in Germany to approach people that you don't know. It may be that I meet mostly international students, and we were all more open minded to meet new people to bond to in a foreign countries.
Back on this side of the world life is balancing out overall I guess. Classes could be going much better from the exam standpoint, though I get by in class and with homework for the most part. Things in the aparmtent are going great to counter the class aspect. My roommates and I get along great, and things just keep getting better the longer we know each other. It's also cool how Karen, Brad's girlfriend, has become integrated into the place and knows how to have a blast with us. Last night reached a pivital turning point when she came back drunk with brad from the parties and stared playing Halo. Brad, Eric and I play all the time, and have been trying to get her started, and it has finally happened. The first thing she did this morning after waking up was play some more. Good sign of addiction.
To the satisfaction of all whom ask for my photos, i've discovered an easy and painless way to post them, and expect a large number of them by the end of next weekend. I've already posted pictures from friends at home, family, and UofI. The discovery is complements of Paula, one of Aaron's roommates that I've been hanging out with. She spent last spring studying in Southern Spain, and showed me her photos last night on webshots. Definitly a much nicer format, most of you may know webshots as the program on my comp that rotates the wallpaper. Once I have things all set up there I will post the links on my blog and send out an email.
I don't recall if it was in my last blog or not, but I can't wait till spring break. I bought tickets last month to go to Wales for the week and visit Nia and Sheena, and I can't wait to go.
Hopefully everyone can expect more blogging activity from me in the near future. Things have started to fall into place being back in the country, and adjusting to the shift in class load, homework, biking and socializing. Also check for some comments on your blogs soon. possibly tonight.
