My Website

Several people have suggested that I use Flickr to post my photos. Unfortunately they have a 20 MB/mo limit. Although not super restrictive, it is limiting. I thought last night, what if google has something. Of course I came up with hits for Picasa, which I recommend as a replacement of whatever photo organizer that you are using. Someone had blogged that Google might link Picasa to Page Creator. This of course sparked my curiousity. What is Page Creator? The answer is Google's attempt at free personal websites with an in browser page designer.

I immediately signed up and started playing around. Since I know a bit about html and web design it was a bit rudemntary, but the interface was straight forward. I would like to see some added features, and have already suggested it to the Google Labs' Team. My site is http://bigz2084.googlepages.com/. It is in a very primitive state right now. I will spend more time refining it tonight. Since Google Pages is a Google Labs project the capabilities change constantly. Each weak a new set of tools are added and removed supposedly. I'll find out shortly. I imagine my suggestions will be echoed by many others, and will appear shortly. Once they do my site will really take off.

There is a 100 MB limit at the moment, but I imagine Google will increase that once it goes main stream. I have a Flickr account and may play with it, but since I don't leave for 3 weeks we'll see where Google Pages is at.
