First day we see the sun in Northern Ireland, and we are going to spend it sitting on a ferry and train to get to Glasgow, Scotland from Belfast. The Scottish countryside is very scenic and remote when taking the train along the coast from Stranraer to Glasgow. Most of the time you see sheep in fields with little stone farm houses, but every once and a while you see nothing but empty fields, trees, and hills for minutes at a time.
Once in Glasgow I managed to walk us in a 45 minute circle while looking for the youth hostel, which should have taken 5 minutes. Keep in mind that we are lugging 30 lb bags around with us. Finally I decided to ask for directions in another hotel that we happened across. Chris is very kind to ignore my stupidity and mistakes.
