The last week I have been consintrating on my two exams and a presentation. With only an exam left, from last semester at that, I have a decent amount of free time. With the election a couple of months away I have been reading online articles about the candidates, strategies, and issues. I came across an article today in Slate. It discusses the possible outcome of the election in Tennessee based on changing condition over the last 4 years and candidate issues. They talk briefly about the suburbs around Nashville, which brings me to a wonderful quote, "Williamson is so conservative that even the hippies are Republicans." Wow, I'm speachless. Can a hippy be Republican, and if so what exactly does that make him because I was under the impression that hippy was a synonym for liberal?
