I took the time the other day to finally read through some other people's blogs and LJs, and was struck by Brian's regarding the APO vote. It is kind of sad that popularity won out over qualification and dedication. He felt gipped and back in high school.

I too have recently had a disappointing high school moment amongst college students. There are those amongst that feel certain other college students need some time to grow up still before they reach an adequat maturaty level to be able to associate with outspoken "mature" people. Yet the supposed "mature" ones partake in relatively indiscreat gossiping. I know in high school it was important for a social group to share everone's secrets and activities with everyone else in the group. At some point in life one would think that this would end, and people would learn and understand what things should remain private, and which can be spread around. Apparently the some members of said "mature" group have not figured this out yet, and are acting just as immature and highschoolish as those they critisize. Recommendation, think about what things you want and do not want people to be spreading about you before opening your mouth to others next time. We're in college now.
