In desperate need of a break from waking up at 8am or earlier, spending a full day walking around, and going to bed around 11pm, we decided to take a breather and sleep in. In reality that came to getting up between 8:30 and 9 because we wanted our free breakfast that closed at 9:30. We packed our stuff for traveling on Wednesday, and then took off for the remaining sites in Glasgow.
Chris wanted to check out the Glasgow Green and Merchant City. I told him we had passed by the Merchant City on Sunday, and I didn't see anything special. We headed for the Green, which turned out to be exactly that, a large area of grass, you read it grass. Chris decided we could forget about the Merchant city and move on to the Science museum, concert hall, tall ship, and university.
The Concert hall is interesting because it is shaped like an armadillo, but the true glory of the trip was the University. The university was founded in 1451, and now occupies a marvelous building built in 1870 with Gothic styling. It puts our ugly boxes to shame.
