Monday my mom and I drove to Neuschwanstein while my dad worked. The castle better known as Cinderella's castle is south of Munich by 2.5 hours with the country roads, and 1.5 with the autobahn. We took the scenic way there and enjoyed the nice scenary. The castle itself is amazing to see sitting on the mountain top overlooking the valley. I'll post pictures hopefully tomorrow (sunday 22nd). We took a tour of the castle, which was never complete due to the early death of King Ludwig II.

Tuesday my mom and I walked around downtown Munich, far too many times along the same street, and visited some of the places on the North side of town that I missed the first time. We also made it to Haufbrauhaus before heading back to our hotel in the suburbs. Definitely the place to visit in the evening on the weekend. It is set up for a year round Oktoberfest. We were there a little early though my none beer drinking mother beat me to the bottom of a .5 liter.

Wednesday was a day to lounge around the hotel and relax. We were both tired from all the walking over the previous two days. Thursday we headed our seperate ways as they headed home, and I waited in the train station before my 4 hour train ride back to Darmstadt.
