Wow, our President has read at least one book, or the puppet master pulling his strings has read it, "1984" by George Orwell. If you haven't read it yet, I ask that you do if you have 6-12 hours depending on reading speed. Bush and his regime have it in there heads that Bush makes a good "Big Brother" figure. Take a look at this lovely article preluding a speach later in the week on Weapons of Mass Destruction. No one else is allowed to have or design weapons of mass destruction, but I bet they have no intentions of dismanteling any of our current weapons or weapon development programs. They are unbelievable hypocrits. Check out this quote from the end of the article:
The president also will say that weapons of mass destruction during the Cold War -- particularly nuclear ones -- were seen as "the weapon of last resort" but that those weapons are seen as "a first resort" for today's terrorists, the official says.
When asked whether the administration believes terrorists don't have weapons of mass destruction because they haven't used them as "the first resort," the official said, "It would be nice to draw that conclusion, but we just don't know ... but if so ... the consequences could be catastrophic."
HELLO! Does no one see the something wrong there. I don't have the book on hand to give a direct quote, but here is the rough idea of "Big Brother" policy
"We were just at war with Eurasia, but now they are our ally and we are at war with Eastasia, which our ally till a moment ago. How can that be, why doesn't anybody realize it."
"We were always at war with Eurasia and Eastasia was always our ally. The people know only what "Big Brother" tells them, and we say that we were never at war with Eastasia." (Anyone with the book on hand and time to find the part I'm quoting please send it to me so I can post it)
Were the hell are the weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.... oh, that's right there aren't any, and at this point if they find any it will be because OUR government planted them there. Colin Powell gave a speech last week, or the week before, saying that maybe the U.S. was wrong about Iraq having weapons of mass destruction, and that we probably shouldn't have gone into Iraq. DUHHHH! I didn't even hear about into Nia questioned me about it. She read it on BBC and I'm in the process of looking for it.
Conclusion: DO NOT VOTE FOR BUSH! The man and his cabinet/regime are a bunch of hypocritical lunatics seeking to control us and the world. Check out the "Homeland Security Act of 2002" and see if they aren't trying to control our lives and take away our freedoms. The bill is set to expire next year, but Bush is trying to force congress to extend it, possibly permanently.
Knox, I'm sure you have something good to add to this, or webcites to look at. Post them in the comments if you have a chance please, thanks.
