The trip to Vienna Friday seemed to last for ever, 7 hours. It was a good opportunity to get through most of the 800 pager German novel I'm reading. I arrived in around 5 and went searching for my youth hostel, which took a while. I went in search of an internet cafe to email Dee, a friend from UIUC studying in Vienna, but I had no success. I walked over to my parents hotel, went out to dinner with them, and then headed back to the hostel after chatting with my parents for a while. After showering I found a booklet on the wall advertising internet cafes. It was 1:20 am and only one place was supposed to be open, walked 15 minutes there in the rain, and they told me it was closed. Got back around 2am and started a coversation with a girl from Sydney, Australia. We stayed up until 4am chatting about a variety of things from politics to cars to world travel. Fun and interesting conversation, now to get up at 8am.
Saturday I meet my parents for breakfest, and then went on a city tour with them. I had seen most of it, but I gave my mom the walking tour with as much info as I could remeber from last time. I managed to meet up with Dee in the afternoon after waking her up with a 9am phone call. One of my personal pet peves for a Saturday morning, but it was an extreme case. We went out to a bar for dinner, and then met up with some of here friends after going in circles on the tram.
Sunday my parents and I rented a car and headed straight for Munich.
