Ciao Katharina
At this point Dave and I have been here longer than anyone, six weeks believe it or not. Most of the girls have only been here for four weeks, and we have known them since then or shortly thereafter. Irene, one of the Greek girls, had here younger sister here for the past two weeks. It was a lot of fun having her around, and it was like having the first of us go when she left yesterday. I am used to having to say farewell for now, but it was a bit harder on the other girls who came to see her off. She’ll be missed, she has the heart of an Erasmus.
With all departures there are arrivals. In my block of non blogging I finally properly met Teresa. We met several weeks ago in passing and exchanged names and so forth, but were always going in opposite directions. The Greek girls brought her to aperitivo. She’s a lovely soft spoken English girl who makes everyone around her want to be a better person. I have never met someone so kind and gentle as her. It is truly amazing. And she has such a bright and fun personality, always ready to laugh and dance. She has become a regular presence at our events, and they have been better for it.
