One of those Weeks

This seems to be one of those weeks when nothing goes as you plan. Tuesday I planned on getting up early and working all day, going to class and then aperitivo. I woke up at noon, decided to study at home instead of go to class, and no one met me for aperitivo when we said we would meet. Thus I was left waiting in the cold for half an hour. Once we made it to aperitivo things went well for the rest of the night. We went to a nice cocktail bar that we had tried the week before and then afterwards went to the Erasmus party at the club, my first appearance at a club in over a month.

Wednesday I once again failed to get up early after not being able to sleep at night. I had two drinks, but since I have not been drinking it was enough to give me a headache while drinking. I spent a good part of the day planning Saturday’s Thanksgiving dinner and the chili that I was going to make that night. Then it was off to shopping for food, cooking and dinner.

Today I tried finding the necessary things at Ipercoop for Thankgiving dinner. Ipercoop is like a Walmart, they have just about everything. Unfortunately they don’t have pumkins, squash or cranberries. I then went to my 2:30 class for the first time in over 6 weeks and the professor didn’t show up. I stopped going to the class because there was either class of lab, no one ever knew which, and the professor didn’t seem to show up at either. I studied in the classroom though for the two hours because the 4:30 class was a continuation with a different professor of the 2:30 class. Class was actually useful, but the professor and I agreed after class to talk about an exam date after tomorrow morning’s class at 12:30. Great, so now I can’t go to the club tonight like I told people I would. I need to get up at 7 am to go to the market and find the food that I need. Then I need to either catch a tram by 9am, public transportation strike starts, or walk 30 minutes to campus.
