The Market

I love the food market. After yesterday’s disappointing trip to the supermarket it was my last chance to find the food for Saturday. I spend some time walking up and down the aisles looking for what I needed, but had no luck. Then I came across a guy with what might have been sweet potatoes. I asked him and he said, “No, you want America Potatoes.” He then told me a vender that might have some. I went to were he said and the guy said, “No go back two stands on the other side.” The mushroom woman on the other side of the aisle behind me said, “He’s out. Go to the first aisle and all the way to the end.” Sure enough there was a guy selling oversized sweet potatoes. On the way to his stand I also picked up some pumpkin. The last and hardest would be cranberries. Unfortunately even with the help of some venders I came to a woman that sells them when in season, but it is too late she said. No cranberries this year.

The rest of the day was uneventful other then spending 6 hours baking 3 pumpkin pies and a walnut pie since I couldn’t find pecans. By time I went to bed at midnight I had been awake for 21 hours. Time for some sleep before tomorrow’s long day.
